Windows Instructions to Add Printer Drivers with more features

- Verify printer queue name you need to install.
- To access the printer queues,  open a Windows Search box or the File Explorer app and enter \\papercut2.vcsu.edu in the search or navigation field.
- A list of available printer queues should appear.  Double click printer queues you wish to install, one at a time.  This does take some time.
- Your printer should have same label.
- If you wish to have print jobs held until you release them, you must install the "PRINT_RELEASE" queue.
- Jobs are then released by accessing https://papercut.vcsu.edu:9192/user.

Please note:

- Duplex printing is enabled by default, you must change job properties each time if do not want to duplex
- Departmental lasers are secured to department members only unless a request is made and approved
- A PaperCut Client for windows must be installed if you need to charge printing to more than one shared account


OS X Instructions to Add Printer Drivers with more features

- Verify printer queue name you need to install.
- We recommend installing printer/copier drivers specific to model needed, please contact Technology Service Desk for help.
- To connect to queue name, open Apple Menu, System Preferences, Printers & Scanners, Click + sign at bottom of printer list to add a new one.
- If you do not see any advanced tab, right click next search box and select custom toolbar.  Drag advanced icon to toolbar and click done.
- Click advanced icon, choose drop-down menu under type and select "Windows printer via spoolss".
- Under URL address, add the printer or copiers queue name after "smb://" (ex. smb://papercut2.vcsu.edu/Printer-Ptr).
- Change Name field to match queue name.
- Under Use select drop-down to select a specific model printer/copier for added features.
- Click Add when finished, select Duplexer when prompted and click OK.

Please note:
